Boone County deputies investigate convenience store burglary

Law enforcement are investigating a burglary at an east Columbia convenience store early Sunday.

Around 3:18 a.m., Boone County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the Kwik BP convenience store on St. Charles Road for a front door security alarm.

At the business, deputies found someone had made a forced entry into the store, but they found no one inside.

The owner told law enforcement an undisclosed amount of money was taken from the store.

No suspect information or surveillance video was immediately available.
