Study: Missouri best state in the country for drinking

With the holidays fast approaching, Missourians have something to drink to.

According to a TIME magazine study, Missouri is the best state in the country for drinking.

The study points out the state’s lack of restrictions against open containers as well as state laws that only make it illegal to be drunk in occupied schools, churches and courthouses.

According to TIME, cities and town can pass laws banning public intoxication, however, it’s prohibited for them to require arrest for such offenses.

Nevada, where it is legal to sell alcohol all day, every day, came in second on the list of best states for drinking. Wisconsin was third, mainly for a law that allows minors under the age of 21 to drink as long as they are accompanied by parents, guardians or spouses of legal drinking age.

The top three worst drinking states are Utah, Massachusetts and Pennsylvania.
