Clarkson gets two player of the week honors
University of Missouri guard Jordan Clarkson earned two weekly honors on Monday. Clarkson was named the SEC Player of the Week, while also earning National Player of the Week by College Sports Madness.
No. 24 Missouri earned key victories of West Virginia and No. 17 UCLA last week, and Clarkson was the driving force behind the wins. He averaged 23 points, five rebounds, five assists and two steals.
The former Tulsa transfer has also scored 20 points in five straight games, helping the Tigers reach their 9-0 record. He scored a career high 31 points vs. SIU earlier in the year.
Mizzou returns to action Sunday, when they host Western Michigan at 6pm.
