Mizzou draws Cotton Bowl, will face Oklahoma State

The Missouri football team, ranked 8th in the final BCS standings, will make a return to Texas. The Tigers will play Oklahoma State in the 2014 Cotton Bowl Classic (January 3rd at 7pm on FOX 22 KQFX).

The match-up will be the first since Missouri moved from the Big 12 conference to the SEC. The Tigers lost the previous meeting 45-24 in Columbia back in 2011.

Mizzou last appeared in the Cotton Bowl in 2008, when Tony Temple set a record for the bowl with 281 rushing yards and four touchdowns.

The Tigers (11-2) will face Oklahoma State (10-2, ranked 13th in the BCS standings), a team who was looking forward to a BCS bowl until it lost to Oklahoma on Saturday.
