Arrests made in October murder

Two Columbia men are charged in connection with the October murder of a woman found dead along a road in Cooper County.

Court documents indicate 30-year-old Parish Walker allegedly destroyed his contact information in Satina Beckner’s phone in an effort to block the investigation into her death.

As of Friday night, Walker remained in the Boone County Jail.

Prosecutors said Charles McCoy, who has at least three aliases, also deleted text messages between himself and Beckner.

The Missouri Highway Patrol’s probable cause statement indicated a trooper ordered McCoy on Oct. 9 to bring Beckner’s phone to Columbia police immediately.

However, McCoy did not come until the next day when he admitted deleting his texts from Beckner’s phone.
