Services announced for Huntsville police chief

Services for longtime Huntsville police chief William “Buddy” Stuck have been announced.

According to Patton Funeral Home, visitation for Stuck will be held Monday from 2 – 8 p.m. in the Westran High School gymnasium.

Stuck’s funeral will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Westran High School gym.

Stuck died in his home Wednesday morning from a gunshot wound to the stomach. Randolph County coroner Gerald Luntsford said he could rule out foul play, but had sent some items to the state lab for further testing.

Stuck had been with the Huntsville Police Department for more than 20 years.

In lieu of flowers, his family has asked for donations to the MACC Buddy Stuck Law Enforcement Scholarship.
