Police chief died from gunshot wound in the stomach
ABC 17 News confirmed the cause of death for a Mid-Missouri police chief Friday.
According to Randolph County Sheriff Mark Nichols , Huntsville’s longtime police chief, William Stuck, 64, died from a single gunshot wound to the stomach.
Investigators performed the autopsy Friday morning. They are still waiting to hear from the state crime lab. There is no timeline on test results, but officials are not ruling anything out.
Randolph County Coroner Gerald Luntsford told Good Radio in Moberly that he was able to rule out foul play.
Stuck was found inside his home early Wednesday. He served as the Huntsville police chief for over 20 years.
