MU police already planning for next year’s tailgates

Saturday night’s game is a sellout, meaning a full tailgate Saturday afternoon.

Even though University of Missouri students are technically on Thanksgiving break, the crowds have still descended on Columbia.

Police told ABC 17 News that getting ready for Saturday’s game is similar to games past, but they are already starting to think about changes they will make for next season.

“There will be more seats on the East side which could impact us some. There will be other boxes on the other side so we may have to staff them slightly different, but those types of thing we will be looking at and working with the athletic department,” said MUPD Captain Brian Weimer.
