Sen. Mike Kehoe plans to run for reelection in 2014

Sen. Mike Kehoe (R-Jefferson City) announced Wednesday he will seek reelection in 2014.

Kehoe, who oversees the 6th District in the Missouri Senate, made the announcement during a “Flapjack Tour” breakfast in the capital city. His tour consisted of 11 stops, including Hermann, Eldon, California, Versailles, Owensville and Linn.

“I don’t make decisions based upon political strategy, a desire to be re-elected or because I want to build a resume for some higher office,” Kehoe said. “That’s what most career politicians do, and that’s what most people hate about government. I want to try to do what is best for Missourians.”

Kehoe is the widely-known former owner of Mike Kehoe Ford in Jefferson City.
