Suspects wanted in burglary at Jefferson City High School

Police in the capital city are searching for two suspects wanted in a burglary at Jefferson City High School.

Officers say at least two men entered the field house locker rooms at 610 Union Street between 3:57 and 4:25 p.m. on Monday.

The men cut locks off several lockers using bolt cutters and stole a dozen cell phones and money. Police say the burglary happened during a football game and cross country practice.

Officers estimate the total value of the thefts to be around $3,000.

Police say the first suspect is a black man, late teens to mid 20’s, 6′ to 6’4″ tall, 220 lbs., wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a yellow symbol and writing on the back, and white athletic shorts.

The second suspect is described as a black man, late teens to mid 20’s, 5’10” to 6’1″ tall, 165 lbs., and wearing a green and black NBA Grizzlies baseball hate, grey sweatshirt, black sweatpants with a red stripe down each side and tan shoes.

Police say the man got away in a dark grey Chevrolet Impala 4-door car with no front license plate.
