Charges dropped against woman tied to Columbia murder

Murder charges have been dropped against a Jefferson City woman allegedly tied to a Columbia murder this summer.

According to Boone County prosecutors, 22-year-old Joycelynn Brown had her charges amended. She now faces a drug distribution charge instead of second-degree murder.

Investigators accuse Brown of driving a car when Anthony Unger was shot and killed on Conley Road in June.

Two others are accused in the murder of Unger. Domionte Cheatum is charged with second-degree murder, first-degree robbery and armed criminal action. Samuel Butler is charged with second-degree murder.
