Man sentenced to 4 life terms for Katy Trail rape
A man convicted of attacking and raping a woman on the Katy Trail near Sedalia was sentenced for those crimes Tuesday.
Ronald Greer, 45, was sentenced to four life in prison terms plus seven years by Pettis County Circuit Judge Robert Koffman.
Two of the sentences do not allow for parole. Greer was on parole for rape when the 2012 rape happened.
In August, a jury convicted Greer of two counts of armed criminal action, forcible rape, forcible sodomy, and resisting arrest.
Last month, Greer was also sentenced to 15 years in prison for the 2012 assault of a deputy at an Interstate 70 rest stop in Cooper County.
In that incident, he attacked a deputy and stole his patrol car, taking authorities on a lengthy car chase around Boonville before being captured.
