Woman arrested for June assault with tire tool

A woman has been arrested for a June 21 assault with a tire tool.

Columbia police say Shameko Spivey, 26, of Fulton, assaulted a female victim with her hands and feet at Lakewood Apartments near Stephens Lake Park.

Police say the victim pulled into a parking lot at the apartment complex because Spivey was following her car too closely and was harassing her.

Spivey wanted to fight the victim and allegedly struck her with a tire tool, according to investigators. The victim sustained serious injuries.

Spivey was arrested Friday night for second-degree assault. She remains in the Boone County Jail on a $25,000 bond.
