Lachowicz sentenced for Pulaski County courthouse threat

A Dixon, Mo. man convicted of making a bomb threat against the Pulaski County courthouse in August will spend four years behind bars.

Joshua Lachowicz, 32, was sentenced Saturday for making terroristic threats. He will also serve two eight-year sentences for probation violations.

Lachowicz was arrested two days after the August 13 threat against a specific judge’s courtroom.

No explosives were found in the courthouse.

But due to “additional circumstance accompanying the call,” officials requested the help of bomb detection dogs and the Explosive Ordinance Disposal unit from Fort Leonard Wood. The bomb teams performed an extensive search of the courthouse, causing the building to be closed for the entire day.

Lachowicz is serving his sentence in the Department of Corrections facility in Fulton.
