Missouri escapee and alleged rapist appears in Ohio court
The man who escaped from a Missouri county jail and was on the run for more than three weeks appeared in court Friday.
Brian Adkison entered not guilty pleas in a Cleveland courtroom to charges including burglary and failure to comply with a police officer.
He was captured in September after escaping the Caldwell County Jail in mid-August.
A judge set Adkison’s bond at $100,000.
Adkison is also wanted in Missouri on several charges after he allegedly raped and kidnapped his ex-girlfriend, a University of Missouri medical student.
He was also the center of a nearly week-long manhunt at the Lake of the Ozarks earlier this summer.
