Worker killed in rollover accident at quarry

The Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating after an employee was killed in an accident at Norris Quarries in Randolph County.

Randolph County Sheriff Mark Nichols confirmed to ABC 17 News that a worker was killed following a truck rollover accident Monday.

The victim has been identified as David A. Gully, 58, of Huntsville.

Norris Quarries is located near Huntsville. A worker at the quarry told ABC 17 News that the business remained closed Monday afternoon following the incident.

The Highway Patrol says Gully’s Caterpillar haul truck ran off the edge of the quarry’s high wall, causing the vehicle to fall into the quarry and overturn several times.

Troopers say Gully was ejected from the truck and the truck fell on top of him.
