Columbia/Boone County Health Department now offering flu shots

The Columbia-Boone County Health Department is now offering flu shots for adults 19 and older.

Flu shots will be available for children in the upcoming weeks.

For adults, the vaccine is $25, and for children, it is free.

The vaccine is available at the department Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the clinic, at 1005 West Worley.

Health Department officials say getting a flu shot is the best way to protect the body against influenza.
