New thriller movie, “You’re Next,” filmed in Columbia
A new thriller movie that hits theaters nationwide Friday has solid Mid-Missouri roots.
“You’re Next,” written by Columbia native Simon Barrett, was filmed in the city more than two years ago. Columbia filmmakers Kim Sherman, Mike Wilson and Andrew Droz Palermo also participated in the project.
The film tells a story about a family reunion that turns into a massacre after group of animal mask-wearing killers invade the home.
That 5 bedroom, 4.5 bath, 8,500 sq. ft. home is located near the Columbia Country Club.
The cast of the movie recently talked with affiliate WDAF-TV about filming in Columbia.
