Michigan man killed in car crash in Phelps County

A Detroit, Michigan man was killed after going off I-44 westbound, near Rolla, just after 4:30 a.m.

Highway Patrol reports show Lawrence Woods went off the right side of the highway, hit a sign, a guardrail and then trees.

Woods was pronounced dead at the scene.
