Woman wakes up to strange man in apartment
Columbia police are investigating after a woman woke up to a strange man in her apartment.
It happened Thursday morning around 3 a.m. Police were called out to a report of a burglary in the 1200 block of E. Walnut Street.
Investigators say the victim was asleep in her apartment when a man rolled over onto her, he then left the apartment.
The woman then saw the man leaving the apartment
Police say the suspect got in through an unlocked door.
The suspect is described as a male with a light complexion, possible Middle Eastern descent, with a very thick accent, around 5’7″, with a thin build and short brown hair.
Police say the description is similar in two other prior cases this summer.
