One man killed, another arrested following jet ski crash at the Lake of the Ozarks

One man was killed and another man was arrested following a Friday afternoon crash on the Lake of the Ozarks.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Blake Briner, 22, and Brett Keith, 28, both of Chillicothe, were each driving separate jet skis near the 18.8 mile marker on the main channel of the Osage arm around 4 p.m.

Trooper say Keith was following Briner when Briner made a hard 180-degree turn and the front of Keith’s jet ski hit Briner’s.

Briner was later pronounced dead at Lake Regional Hospital.

Online records show Keith was arrested for boating while intoxicated.
