Emergency workers respond to head-on crash on Highway 40 near Rocheport

Emergency workers rushed to the scene of a head-on crash on Highway 40 near Rocheport right before noon on Friday.

Missouri Highway Patrol officials say Jonathan Peck and Troyveia Thomas were the two male drivers taken to Universitsy Hospital in Columbia.

The drivers were pinned behind their dashboards.

University Hospital confirms Peck is in serious condition while Thomas is in fair condition.

Missouri state troopers are investigating the cause of the accident. Officials tell us an unknown blue vehicle made a “bad pass” causing Thomas and Pack to crash into each other.
