New Jefferson City intersection completed

Jefferson City residents are celebrating the completion of a $200,000 road safety project.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony for the improvements at Stadium Boulevard and Edgewood Drive was held Tuesday morning.

The intersection now has improved signals, additional turn lanes and had overlay and re-striping done.

“The lane will provide more security, safety, and allow traffic to flow in an area that is really going to grow throughout the years,” said Jefferson City Mayor Eric Struemph.

The intersection previously had an “F” rating with the city’s service study and it now has a “C.”
