CrimeStoppers offers largest reward possible for recent murder

CrimeStoppers in Boone County is now offering one of its largest rewards as police try to solve a recent homicide.

Columbia Police Department Capt. Jill Schlude says CrimeStoppers is guaranteeing a $1,500 reward for information leading to the arrest in the murder of Tre’Veon Marshall.

$1,500 is the largest reward the group can offer without funding from outside sources.

Marshall, 17, was shot and killed in McKee Street Park on July 14. Police have never released a suspect description.

Despite officers taking two juveniles in for questioning last week, there have been no arrests in the homicide. The teens were released hours later after providing voluntary DNA samples.

To contact CrimeStoppers, call 573-875-TIPS. Anonymity is guaranteed.
