Man arrested after 20 mile car chase

A man was arrested early Monday, accused of taking authorities on a 20 mile car chase.

Law enforcement first saw Chase Rieves northeast of Boonville near Route467 andHighway 40.

After jumping in a car, officials say he took off, heading south through Rocheport on Highway 240, onto I-70. Even thoughspike strips were on the interstate,Rieves allegedlycontinued to Columbia.

Troopers, local police and Boone County deputies tracked him on foot. They eventually found him at the Columbia Country Club off Old Highway 63. He was taken to the Howard County jail.
