Escaped Howard County inmate captured
Officials in Howard County say that an escaped inmate who’s been on the run for days has been caught.
Investigators got word overnight that Walter Estay was picked up in Leawood, Kansas during a traffic stop.
He allegedly broke out of the Howard County jail last week.
Estay was in jail for tampering with a vehicle, while on probation for robbery.
Howard County officials say they will now work to transfer him back to Missouri.
