Rangeline Street construction to close lanes through early August

Columbia road crews began work on sections of Rangeline Street to replace a water main.

The construction will close lanes of Rangeline and nearby roads intermittently through early August.

Starting Tuesday, Rangeline will be down to one lane between Business Loop 70 and Wilkes Boulevard. The first phase will last until July 31.

The second phase, scheduled from July 31 to August 7, will close southbound Rangeline south of Business Loop 70. The southbound traffic will be detoured to North Boulevard.

The final phase will close North Blvd. between Eighth Street and Rangeline August 7-9.

Phase 3 will close North Blvd. between Eighth Street and Rangeline Street between August 7 and August 9.

The Public Works Department is asking drivers and pedestrians to use extra caution in the area and to find an alternate route if possible.
