Numerous arrests in Jefferson City

Eight people are behind bars today after a number of arrests were made Thursday night.

It all started Wednesday, when three men reported they were robbed at gunpoint at 1200 East Capitol Avenue.

The SWAT team was called in and meth was found in the home.

There were several other people present in the home when the SWAT team went in and around 12 people were arrested and taken in for questioning.

A 1-year-old girl was present during the entire ordeal and is now in the care of protective services.
