Pulaski County man charged for shooting woman with a rifle
A Pulaski County man has been charged to shooting a woman during a domestic dispute.
Authorities say 32-year-old Shawn C. Gregory is behind bars for allegedly shooting Francis Blackwood on Wednesday.
Sheriff Ronald Long said Gregory and Blackwood were arguing when Gregory pulled out a rifle and shot the victim in the should and chest. Gregory reportedly fled the scene then later surrendered to authorities.
As of Thursday, Blackwood remains in critical condition.
Gregory is charged with first-degree domestic assault, armed criminal action and unlawful possession of a firearm. He is being held on a $1 million bond.
