Two arrested for possessing drugs near a Moberly school

Randolph County authorities arrested two people Tuesday for manufacturing and possessing drugs near a school.

Sheriff’s deputies arrested 31-year-old Christopher A. Smith and 25-year-old Christina K. Holt while conducting a search warrant in the 1300 block of Hurley Avenue.

The couple were arrested on a felony charge of manufacturing and producing marijuana or a controlled substance in a residence with a child or within 2,000 feet of a school. They were also arrested for felony keeping or maintaining a public nuisance.

Smith and Holt are being held in the Randolph county Justice Center on a $100,000 bond each.

The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, the Moberly Police Department and the North Missouri Drug Task Force all participated in the search.
