Man found guilty of brutal triple-murder in Mid-Missouri
A judge found a Lebanon, Mo. man guilty of a brutal 2010 triple-murder in Mid-Missouri.
On Tuesday, a Camden County judge found 53-year-old Morris A. McCabe guilty on three counts of first-degree murder and three counts of armed criminal action.
McCabe was convicted of killing Don Myers, Don Young and Sally Amos in December 2010 near Stoutland, just south of Camdenton.
According to affiliate KSPR, McCabe had been out of prison only 10 months for a murder that he committed in 1979 when he shot Myers, Young and Amos. Law enforcement said McCabe was hired by a woman to kill her boyfriend, Larry Baker. Baker was shot several times and the murder was taped on an audio recording.
Sentencing is scheduled for November 12. Despite being found guilty, McCabe will not receive the death penalty. The defense waived a jury trial and the Camden County prosecutor waived the death penalty.
Instead, McCabe could face up to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
