A Macon woman was killed Thursday in a car crash on Highway 36.

Highway Patrol troopers say 72-year-old Kathlen Gentner was traveling northbound on Kellogg Avenue and attempting to cross Highway 36 when her car was struck on the driver’s side.

Genter was pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers do not know if she was wearing a seat belt.

The driver and two passengers in the other car, including a 5-year-old child, received minor-to-moderate injuries. Trooper say all three occupants were wearing a seat belt.
