Jefferson City SWAT team raids home, arrests three

Police arrested three Capitol City residents during a search of their home in connection with a recent shots fired incident.

Last week, Jefferson City police investigated a shots fired on June 24 on E. Dunklin Street. On Tuesday, the city’s SWAT team served a search warrant at 1111 E. Dunklin Street after investigators determined the home was connected to a recent increase in crime in the area.

During the search, officers found numerous hazards in the home. Code Enforcement officials determined the home is uninhabitable and condemned the building.

One person, a 21-year-old, was arrested for resisting arrest and obstructing police. Two others, a 27-year-old and 42-year-old, were arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
