Reports: Boston Celtics sign Phil Pressey

Less than 24 hours after the NBA Draft, former Missouri Tiger point guard Phil Pressey has found a new home.

Yahoo’s Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting Pressey signed a free agent contract with the Boston Celtics.

Phil Pressey averaged 11.9 points and 7.1 assists per game as a Junior with Missouri last season. He decided to leave school and become eligible for the draft before his Senior senior season.

Pressey’s father father, Paul, was an assistant coach under Doc Rivers from 2004-06.

The Celtics arguably had the wildest draft night, trading mainstays Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce to the Brooklyn Nets.
