Two rafters found safe after multiple counties search Missouri River

Two rafters are found safe Monday morning after multiple counties searched for the two who went missing Sunday night after putting in near Glasgow.

Howard County officials say the two walked to a nearby home around 6 a.m. Monday to make a phone call.

Boone County fire officials went searching by boat around 1 a.m. Monday, but did not locate anything.

Emergency personnel from both Howard and Boone counties were helping the search.

According to the Boone County Fire Protection District’s Twitter account, the district put two boats in the river at Perche Creek to assist Howard County.
