Highway 63 crash injures two pedestrians

Two teenage pedestrians on Highway 63 were injured when they got caught in a car crash Sunday evening.

The crash closed one lane of traffic for about 30 minutes, causing a small back up.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported Jordan and Taylor Heckenmeyer were hit when a Jeep hydroplaned into another car near Claysville Road.

The parked car then hit one of the teens and debris from the crash hit the second.

Taylor Heckenmeyer was taken to University Hospital with moderate injuries. Jordan Heckenmeyer refused treatment at the scene.

Neither of the drivers involved was injured.
