Police arrest repeated DWI offender, again
A chronic DWI offender is in jail again after a crash in which police suspect he was intoxicated.
Monday night, Fulton police were called out to a crash on Route F and Gaylord Drive. When police got to the scene, they found the car had been driven off Route F and down a grassy hill into a ditch.
They identified the driver as Gregory Billstein. Police say he was intoxicated and arrested him on charges of felony DWI chronic offender and driving while revoked.
Investigators say Billstein has four convictions for DWI. One of the latest DWI arrests happened Friday, in St. Louis County.
Billstein will not be eligible to get his driver’s license back until 2020.
