Missouri State Highway Patrol to crack down on intoxicated boaters
The Missouri State Highway Patrol announced Monday it will participate in a nationwide effort to crack down on intoxicated boaters.
The effort, “Operation Dry Water,” will involve special patrols during the weekend of June 28-30. Troopers will be on the lookout for intoxicated or impaired boaters.
Troopers say any boat operator with a blood alcohol content levels of .08% or higher will be arrested.
During last year’s Operation Dry Water weekend, the Highway Patrol arrested 20 people statewide for boating while intoxicated.
