Callaway County man pleads guilty to drug-trafficking

A Callaway County man pleaded guilty Monday in federal court to a drug-trafficking conspiracy in Boone, Callaway and Cooper counties.

Jason Randall Holloway, 33, pleaded guilty to participating in a conspiracy to distribute 100 kilograms or more of marijuana and five kilograms or more of cocaine from 2007 to 2010.

He also pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana and cocaine with the intent to distribute.

Holloway admitted in court he acquired about 50 pounds of marijuana and one kilogram of cocaine every month for the past two years in Kansas City, then stored bulk amounts of the drugs in Columbia. Officers seized 117 pounds of marijuana in Columbia in July 2010.

According to law enforcement, Holloway and an acquaintance would travel between Kansas City and Columbia to pick up and distribute drugs.

Holloway faces a minimum of ten years and up to life in federal prison without the possibility of parole. A sentencing date has not been set.
