I-70 project in Boone County to temporarily close lane

Road crews will temporarily close a lane of Interstate 70 in Boone County to perform maintenance work on the road.

The Missouri Department of Transportation said crews will be working on I-70 over Hominy Creek Monday through Thursday.

Crews will work on grading, drainage and pavement work near The Links apartment complex.

The $1.2 million project will allow the city to extend the Hominy Creek Trail north of I-70.

From Monday to Wednesday, the eastbound passing lane of I-70 will be closed from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Then on Thursday, the westbound passing lane will be closed from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. in order to remove the median guard cable.
