Three teenagers injured in Boone County crash

Three Ashland teenagers were taken to the hospital after a two-car crash at Highway 63 and New Salem Road Thursday afternoon.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 18-year-old Colton Snyder was attempting to cross southbound Highway 63 when he failed to yield to oncoming traffic.

A pickup truck driven by Richard Heet, 21, of Jefferson City hit Snyder’s vehicle on the driver’s side.

Snyder, 19-year-old Domenick Taggart and 18-year-old Valerie Welch were all transported to University Hospital with moderate to serious injuries.

Heet was not injured.
