Mexico, Missouri woman mourns the loss of her husband

A tragic work place accident at the Home Depot Distribution Center in Mexico, Missouri leaves a mid-Missouri man dead and a wife dealing with an unimaginable loss.

30-year-old Kenneth Baker was crushed Tuesday on the job.

OSHA is continuing its investigation.

ABC 17 News met with Baker’s wife Wednesday night.

“Unforgettable. The love of my life,” Jennifer Baker told ABC 17 News when asked about her husband.

Kenneth and Jennifer Baker, or “Kenny and Jenny” as the couple was commonly known, met back in 2004.

“From October 13 th of 2004 to Tuesday, we spent four days apart. It wasn’t, ‘I’m going to call Kenny or I’m going to call Jenny.’ It was Jenny, Kenny or Kenny, Jenny,” Baker told ABC 17 News.

She said Kenny will be remembered as a loving family man.

“He’s a wonderful husband and father. He dedicated his life to making sure that his family had what they needed,” Baker said.

She said Kenny’s children were his world.

“He had a song that he played for each one of them when they came home from the hospital and he would sing it to them all the time,” Baker said.

While the family is gathered and mourning, they said looking back on their favorite memories brings them some comfort.

Although this is a tough time for Jennifer and her family, Jennifer made one promise.

“I will take care of his babies like he did,” she said.
