Driver arrested after rollover accident on the Business Loop

A Columbia man was arrested after a rollover accident Thursday morning.

Columbia police say 24-year-old Orlando George Collier lost control and hit some vehicles in the parking lot of the Bob McCosh Chevrolet dealership on Business Loop 70.

The car then went back on Garth Avenue and flipped.

According to court documents, police believe Collier robbed a person on Oak Street on Wednesday. The victim told police Collier asked him for money and when the victim replied he had none, Collier pulled up his shirt and showed him a handgun. Collier fled the scene with the victim’s tablet computer and headphones.

Collier is charged with first-degree robbery and armed criminal action. His bond is set at $100,000.

The Missouri Department of Corrections told ABC 17 News that Collier was released from prison in August 2012 after he admitted to hiding a gun in a 2007 murder in Columbia.
