Deuce Bello to transfer to Missouri

Mizzou basketball head coach Frank Haith has once again convinced a transfer that Columbia is the place to revive his collegiate career.

Monday afternoon, the school confirmed that former Baylor guard Deuce Bello will be transferring to Missouri.

Bello spent two years in Waco and averaged only 10.6 minutes per game. One of the reasons he cited for leaving the program and coming to Mizzou was the chance to get more playing time.

A very athletic 6-foot-4 wing player, Bello was widely regarded as one of the top 100 players in the 2011 recruiting class. His play at Baylor, though, never lived up to the hype. His career scoring average in 66 games is just 2.8 points per game.

Since he is transferring from another Division 1 program, Bello will have to sit out the 2013-14 season. He will have two years of eligibility remaining when he is allowed to play in the fall of 2014.
