Moberly man arrested for “large quantity” of child porn videos

A Moberly man was arrested Monday for child pornography following an online investigation.

The Boone County Sheriff’s Department Cyber Crimes Task Force said they began an investigation last month. Detectives downloaded child porn through a file-sharing program from a computer that they believed to be in the Moberly area.

A cyber crimes task force in Kirksville also downloaded child porn that investigators believe was from the same computer.

Police served a search warrant at the home of James D. Bugg, 54, of Moberly and found a “large quantity” of child porn videos. The videos are believed to show children as young as 2 and 3 years of age.

Officers arrested Bugg on suspicion of child pornography possession.
