Columbia business leaders expecting mail processing center to close

Columbia business leaders are not optimistic about the future of the city’s mail processing center.

At a meeting Wednesday, members of the Regional Economic Development Board said they expect the United States Postal Service to shut down the processing facility.

The postal service calls the proposed shutdown a cost-cutting move.
