Centralia woman arrested for threatening to shoot police and neighbor

A Centralia woman was arrested early Tuesday morning after threatening to shoot police and kill her neighbor.

Centralia police said 41-year-old Angel Marie Anderson threw a large object at her neighbor “in the manner as a person would throw a spear with the intent of impaling someone.”

Police Chief Larry Dudgeon said she then threw a plant holder containing two large hooks at her neighbor.

Officers said she has threatened the neighbor and his family in the past and has “threatened to poison his dogs.”

When officers knocked at her door, she allegedly threatened to shoot them and began to scream loudly.

According to a probable cause statement, Anderson opened the door holding a bowling pin over her head. After being told to drop it, she allegedly told officers to “go to hell.”

Anderson allegedly swung at the officer’s head, but missed the officer by inches. As officers were trying to “wrestle” Anderson into handcuffs, she kept kicking and swinging at them, according to the probable cause statement.

Anderson was arrested on charges of first-degree assault, first-degree assault on an officer, two counts of armed criminal action, trespassing, resisting arrest and marijuana possession.

Her bond was set at $125,500 and she has bonded out of the Boone County Jail.
