Man critically injured in stabbing

Deputies in Pulaski County say a Laquey man was critically injured in a stabbing.

Investigators say it started as a family fight. Around 4 p.m. Thursday, deputies responded to a home on Highway W in Laquey.

Medics arrived to find Raemond Pruett bleeding profusely from a large stab wound. Investigators say a family member who was administering first aid likely kept him alive.

Pruett was taken to a hospital in Columbia.

A woman has been arrested in this case. She is currently in the Pulaski County Jail.

Her name is being withheld pending formal charges.
