Tractor trailer crash causes backup on I-70 in Columbia

A tractor trailer crashed on I-70 westbound in Columbia Wednesday afternoon, causing traffic to backup through the central part of the city.

Just after 5:30 p.m., emergency crews responded to the extrication accident at the 123 mile marker, just west of Stadium Boulevard.

Crews had to free the truck driver from the cabin. The driver suffered minor injuries.

Emergency officials say the truck spilled salad dressing onto the side of the interstate.
