VUDU customers alerted to theft

Customers of a movie service are being notified that their personal information may have been stolen.

VUDU is a service that allows customers to rent and purchase movies through Blu-ray, X-Box and other electronic devices.

Company officials say a VUDU office had a break-in and hard drives were stolen.

The hard drives contained customer data including names, email addresses, mailing addresses and passwords. However, no full credit card numbers were taken.

The company is now resetting passwords.
